Even when two days separate us from the official start of the event, it feels as if the championship has already started. The boat park is covered in Opis and the noise of fluttering sails reaches the first floor of the port authority building where the offices are.

Measurement started this morning and went through to midday, while the majority of the teams took to the water, to train and get to know the area. The wind blew 12 to 14 knots, not as strong as one can expect it to be here (even though it felt stronger on shore) and it was said to be very shifty. The wave was big, though (When was it not?)

At the end of the day, a tropical rain that lasted 5 minutes drew a beautiful rainbow over the boat park.
